Vehicle batteries are the core of vehicles (referring to low-speed work vehicles such as patrol vehicles, sightseeing vehicles, forklifts, etc.), directly related to the efficiency and durability of work vehicles. At present, the types of car batteries that account for a large proportion are lithium-ion batteries and lead-acid batteries. However, lead-acid batteries are more traditional batteries and have a longer development period. However, with the deepening of research on lithium-ion batteries for cars, it has been found that their advantages are much higher than lead-acid batteries. Since that's the case, it means that lithium-ion batteries for vehicles have much higher cost-effectiveness than lead-acid batteries. Is this the actual situation? Let's analyze together!

The working principle of automotive lithium batteries is simply that lithium ions move between the positive and negative electrodes, and the voltage of a single cell in a lithium battery is relatively high. Ternary lithium batteries have a voltage of 3.7V, while lithium iron phosphate batteries have a voltage of 3.2V. However, the single unit voltage of lead-acid lithium batteries is only 2V, indicating that the charging and discharging efficiency of automotive lithium batteries is higher.

In addition, the difference between lithium batteries and lead-acid batteries is not limited to this point. In terms of weight, lithium-ion batteries for vehicles also have an absolute advantage. With the same capacity, the weight of lithium-ion batteries for vehicles can reach one-third (approximately) of that of lead-acid batteries. This may not seem like much change, but let's put it another way: the weight of lead-acid batteries is three times that of lithium-ion batteries. Is the difference significant? So in terms of weight, lithium batteries are lighter and smaller in size, making them more convenient to use for work vehicles.

It can be seen that automotive lithium batteries are more suitable for use in work vehicles, but there is another important factor that affects the development of lithium batteries. That's the price. Many users only look at the price and think that lithium batteries are too expensive, not as cost-effective as lead-acid batteries. Actually, this idea is not complete enough because lithium batteries have a higher cost-effectiveness. Simply put, factors such as efficiency and weight are also included in cost-effectiveness, as mentioned above. Another important factor is lifespan. After using one lithium battery, two or three lead-acid batteries have already been replaced, indicating that automotive lithium batteries are more durable.
