Classification of Negative Electrode Materials for Polymer Lithium Batteries.


Polymer lithium battery negative electrode materials can be divided into two categories based on their structure: crystalline materials and amorphous (amorphous) materials. Graphite based carbon materials have high crystallinity and belong to crystalline materials; And amorphous carbon materials have low crystallinity, so we consider them as amorphous materials. The vast majority of tin oxides in tin based materials are crystalline compounds. Due to their significant volume effect during the charging and discharging process, they affect the structural stability and cycling performance of the material. Therefore, modifying tin oxides leads to the emergence of amorphous tin based composite oxides. There are two types of non-metallic silicon in silicon-based materials: crystalline and amorphous. Among them, amorphous silicon has better electrochemical properties, and the modification of silicon is mainly based on amorphous silicon. Alloy materials can also be classified into two types based on their structure: crystalline and amorphous.

Compared with powder electrodes, thin film electrodes do not require the addition of adhesives and conductive agents, which allows them to more intuitively reflect the performance of electrode materials. At the same time, they have the advantages of simple design, low internal resistance, and good charge discharge performance, making thin film electrode materials highly promising.
