Due to the increasing variety of electronic devices, more comprehensive functions, higher power consumption, smaller size, higher integration, and more complex usage environments, the temperature range of devices is becoming wider and wider, usually ranging from -40 ℃ to 60 ℃. These products require their matching power sources to have characteristics such as small size, light weight, high specific energy, and wide working temperature range, especially for improving low-temperature performance requirements.
The low-temperature lithium-ion battery of this technology has a rated capacity of 1800mAh, achieving continuous discharge at 0.5C at low temperature of -40 ℃, with a turning point voltage higher than 3.2V, and a discharge capacity of over 85% of the rated capacity. At high temperature of 60 ℃, the discharge capacity at 0.5C reaches over 90% of the rated capacity. It can meet the use of conventional electrical equipment within the temperature range of -40 ℃ to 60 ℃.
Low temperature lithium-ion batteries use suitable particle size positive and negative electrode materials to improve power performance, while using fiber based super conductive agents to establish a long-distance conductive network and enhance electrode conductivity; Control reasonable compaction density and improve the wettability of electrolyte; In terms of electrolyte, organic solvents such as fatty esters and ethers with lower freezing points are used to maintain high conductivity at low temperatures, thus exhibiting high low-temperature performance.
