What are the ways to detect the wear and tear of 18650 lithium batteries.
The capacity of 18650 lithium-ion batteries is generally between 1200mAh and 3600mAh. To prevent short circuits, the positive and negative electrodes of 18650 lithium-ion batteries are separated. So its short circuit may have been reduced to its limit. A protective plate can be installed to prevent overcharging and overdischarging of the battery, which can also extend its lifespan. How to detect the wear and tear of 18650 lithium battery packs?
1.If the battery voltage is below 2.7V, you can use a charger (4.2V) to charge the battery. After ten minutes, if the battery voltage rises, you can continue charging until the charger prompts full, and then check the full voltage.

2. Battery wear and tear refers to the inability of the battery voltage to increase and the decrease in capacity. Measure directly with a voltmeter, if the voltage at both ends of the 18650 battery is below 2.7V or there is no voltage. Indicates that this battery or battery pack is damaged. The normal voltage is 3.0V to 4.2V (usually 3.0V batteries will have voltage cutoff, 4.2V batteries will be fully charged and saturated, and some may have 4.35V).
3. If the 18650 lithium battery pack is measured and there is no voltage, there are two situations. One is that the battery was originally good but has been stored for a long time due to power loss. This type of battery has a certain chance of recovery. Generally, a lithium battery pulse activator (lithium battery charging and discharging instrument) is used to charge the battery multiple times in a short period of time, which may be repaired.
4. Check the battery capacity, set a multimeter to measure the amount of current passing through per hour, and place two metal rods on the positive and negative metal terminals of the battery.
