What are the reasons for the failure of cylindrical lithium batteries?

1、 Poor adhesion during the production of cylindrical lithium batteries
1. Cause of failure
(1) Glue punching;
(2) Leakage phenomenon;

(3) The transition rod of the tape is not flexible.

2. Repair methods
(1) When making materials, loosen the screws of the adhesive fixing plate and lift it up a bit to make them as close to the center of the battery cell as possible;
(2) Firstly, check whether the adhesive wheel is tightly attached to the battery cell, whether the pressure strip adjustment plate is loose, whether the feeding guide wheel is too high, whether the cylinder air pressure is stable, whether the cylinder adjustment distance screw is loose, and whether the upper clamping wheel is tightly pressing the tape;
(3) The wheels in front of the adhesive mechanism collide with the lower support, and occasional adhesive application is not allowed during rolling. During the collision process, the lower support may not be flexible and cannot be pressed down during feeding, resulting in occasional non gluing;

(4) Check if the one-way bearing of the transition rod is installed backwards, loosen the locking sleeve of the transition rod, and adjust the transition rod.

3、 Production of cylindrical lithium batteries with electrode plates and misaligned separators
1. Cause of failure
(1) The lower support wheel is caused by different heights on both sides;
(2) The electrode guide plate is not perpendicular or parallel to the substrate.
2. Repair methods
(1) Firstly, check if the battery cells are biased inward at the end. This phenomenon is that the external support of the lower part is too high, so the lower or higher internal or external part is used to prove that the battery cell is parallel to the lower support;

(2) Ensure the verticality and parallelism between the polar guide plate and the substrate.

3、 The curling needle cannot find the origin
1. Cause of failure
(1) Inductor malfunction (broken wiring, poor circuit contact, etc.);
(2) The sensor has foreign objects that make it insensitive;
(3) Parameter setting issue;

(4) Origin velocity issue.

2. Repair methods
(1) Check if the wiring terminals are intact;
(2) Wipe the luminescent surface of the sensor with a dry cotton cloth;
(3) Avoid setting length parameters to ensure that these parameters do not add up to integers (1, 2, 3, 4...), etc;

(4) Adjust the origin speed to ensure that the return speed matches the time of the PLC response signal.
