Precautions for operating
forklift lithium battery packs in winter.
Winter is the season with a high incidence of accidents, accounting for approximately 80% of the total accidents throughout the year, and over 65% of accidents are caused by operational errors in winter. When operating a forklift in low temperature winter or in low temperature environments, it is necessary to pay attention to the impact of temperature on the forklift's lithium battery pack to prevent improper operation from causing machine malfunctions or creating danger. Below are a few things to note for everyone, hoping to be helpful.
1. The staff should do a good job in seasonal maintenance of forklift lithium iron phosphate, check the freezing point of the antifreeze, and make it 5 ℃ lower than the local minimum temperature; Set the opening temperature of the thermostat to around 82 ℃; Increase the electrolyte density of the battery to 1.280g/cm3; Timely adjust the oil used in each part of the machine, install insulation measures for equipment working in the field, install engine oil preheating devices if necessary, and start the engine regularly to preheat the working systems of each part.
2. After starting the engine normally, there should be sufficient warm-up time to operate it at low speed and light load until the oil in the engine, transmission, hydraulic system, and final drive becomes hot. When the equipment is in operation, the operation of the bucket, shovel, and various devices should be slow, and high throttle impact, scraping, shoveling, and pushing are prohibited.
Before the hydraulic system oil becomes hot, do not operate the hydraulic system, otherwise it will damage the hydraulic components and in severe cases, it may cause pump explosion accidents. Forklift
lithium battery packs need to control their speed, maintain distance, and avoid emergency braking while driving. The braking interval in cold seasons is about twice longer than usual. Avoid sharp turns to reduce the impact force during turns and prevent rigid structural components from breaking.
