Key points of PACK process for polymer lithium batteries.
When assembling polymer lithium batteries, there are single assembly and multiple parallel and multiple intermediate assembly methods as needed. Today, we will first introduce the assembly process points of multiple parallel and multiple string soft pack polymer lithium batteries.
1. Organize and review the data requirements for the batteries that need to be assembled
2. Match and screen the product size, internal resistance, voltage, capacity, etc. of lithium battery packs according to the data requirements, and classify them by pairing identification
3. During the assembly process, one should not rely on luck to save time and thus eliminate some process steps
4. Detailed steps for assembling lithium batteries: Place the lithium batteries flat on the workbench, and then fix each set of matched lithium batteries according to the SOP assembly information. After fixing each string of lithium batteries, use insulation materials such as high-temperature resistant adhesive made of barley paper to separate each string of lithium batteries, to avoid collisions with the outer skin of the lithium batteries and prevent bulging or short circuits caused by the rupture of the aluminum-plastic film.
5. After completing the fixation, the most important step is to connect the positive and negative electrodes and nickel strips in series or parallel. If the positive and negative electrodes are reversed due to carelessness in the previous process and the carelessness of the nickel strip operator, short circuits may occur, causing the lithium battery to swell or the electrode ears to melt, resulting in battery scrap or operational safety. Therefore, high requirements, high seriousness, and meticulousness are required for every process in the assembly.
After all the above steps have been completed, the next step is to wrap up the positive and negative nickel spot welds with fire-resistant materials, and wrap the lithium battery flat with high-temperature resistant tape (to avoid errors in subsequent operations that may cause short circuits). Adjust the load tester, test and package the lithium battery pack for shipment.
