Four tips for maintaining golf cart batteries.
Proper charging
When charging the lead-acid battery of the golf cart, please ensure that the charging time is within 8-10 hours each time. Overcharging may damage the battery and make it dry, which means you need to charge it more frequently. If it is a lithium battery, it can be charged at any time because it has no memory effect and is equipped with a BMS to prevent overcharging and discharging.
Do not completely drain the battery
Although you don't want to overcharge the
golf cart battery, you also want to avoid running out of battery power. Ideally, you would like the battery to be at least half full and at least 20% full. This battery manufacturer will provide the best charging limits, so please strictly follow these instructions to extend the battery's lifespan.
Minimize battery pressure to the greatest extent possible
Although driving a golf cart up or over mountains around a golf course or hotel is fun, please try to stick to straight and flat roads as much as possible. Going uphill requires more battery power, and doing so frequently will drain the battery more quickly.
Regularly check the battery
If you want a longer battery life, regular inspections will help you detect any issues early on. Firstly, you need to check the lead-acid battery once a month and keep the water at the filling line. For batteries that do not require water, please check for obvious damage and test the voltage approximately every few months.
