lithium-ion batteries in pure electric ships.
1. Pure electric ships need to carry a large number of batteries, and there are also high requirements for the discharge rate, recyclability, and cost of the batteries;
2. Pure electric ships have advantages such as green environmental protection, zero pollution, safety, and low operating costs, and their operating costs are significantly lower than diesel and LNG fueled ships. In addition, pure electric ships have a simple structure, stable operation, and low maintenance costs, making them more suitable for future environmental trends;
3. In terms of battery type selection, compared with lead-acid batteries,
lithium iron phosphate batteries have obvious advantages in safety, energy density, cycle performance, and other aspects. However, lithium iron phosphate batteries are currently widely used in fields such as new energy buses and energy storage. Lithium iron phosphate batteries used in pure electric ships will face more technical validation, stricter regulatory standards, and higher product prices.
