Why choose to purchase AGV lithium batteries?
At present, most of the AGV vehicles for transportation on the market use lithium batteries, mainly because
AGV lithium batteries have the characteristics of high energy density, long endurance, fast charging, and long safety life, which can ensure the long-term and stable operation output of AGV vehicles.
AGV lithium batteries have higher energy density
A typical lead-acid battery has an energy density of 40WH/KG, and an energy of 45WH/KG is already considered a very good one. However, lithium batteries can typically reach 160WH/KG, which is 4-5 times the energy density of lead-acid batteries. They can support more than 2000 cycles and have a much longer lifespan than lead-acid batteries. Correspondingly, for the same size, they can accommodate higher specifications and capacities of lithium batteries, with longer battery life. Moreover, lithium batteries have stable discharge output and will not experience intermittent power supply to equipment. Therefore, lithium batteries are usually chosen as the power source for AGVs nowadays.
AGV lithium batteries charge faster
Lithium batteries have fast charging function. Generally, lead-acid batteries require 8 hours to fully charge, while
lithium batteries can fully charge in 3 hours. Lithium batteries do not have a memory effect and can be charged and used at any time, with higher flexibility
The attenuation of AGV lithium batteries is very low.
The annual attenuation of conventional lead-acid batteries is about 50%, which means that new batteries can only be used for 4 hours, but in the later stage, they can only be used for 2 hours, which is not durable. For lithium batteries, the annual attenuation of conventional batteries is only about 5%, and even in the later stage, it will not have a significant impact on battery life. There is no need to worry about the battery's endurance and attenuation in the later stage, saving money and worry.
