During charging, the lithium element in the positive electrode material separates in the form of positively charged lithium ions (Li+), and under the action of an external electric field, it moves from the positive electrode to the negative electrode through the electrolyte, reacting with the negative electrode material and embedding in the hole of the negative electrode material in the form of LiC6. The process of discharge is exactly opposite to the process of charging. During discharge, lithium ions are converted back into lithium ions (Li+) and surge along the direction of the electric field force through the electrolyte to the positive electrode. The positive electrode of lithium ions receives a negative charge at the same time as each lithium ion, so that the lithium ions moving to the positive electrode can become a stable state of electrical neutrality. However, due to the fact that the isolation film, electrolyte, and other components of the battery are insulators, electrons can only move to the positive electrode to meet lithium ions through the load circuit connecting the two poles, and the process of electrons moving towards the positive electrode forms a current.
