What is the difference between 18650 lithium battery and polymer battery? (Part 1)
18650 lithium batteries can be divided into two types: energy storage technology volumetric lithium cells and power rate lithium cells.

18650 Energy Storage Technology Volumetric Type
The capacity of lithium battery cells for energy storage technology is generally between 1000mAh and 3500mAh. The individual capacity is relatively large, but the charging and discharging current is relatively small, so it is generally used in machines and equipment with low current requirements, such as mobile chargers, electric toy cars, etc.
18650 driving force multiplier type
The capacity of the driving force multiplier type lithium battery cell is generally around 2000mAh to 2800mAh, with a large charge and discharge current. It is suitable for use in machines and equipment with high electricity and current consumption, such as pneumatic tools.
18650 generally adopts aluminum shell product packaging design, which means that the lithium-ion battery of 18650 is liquid, like a water cup filled with water. Therefore, 18650 can only be cylindrical, and the thick and large mobile power supply uses 18650 lithium battery cells.
Due to the unique packaging design of 18650 products (using aluminum shells), if the quality of the manufactured products is not up to standard, the greater risk source is the occurrence of explosion accidents, and the electric vehicle has the highest number of explosions. In order to better alleviate the weight of the vehicle body, electric vehicle manufacturers choose 18650 lithium battery packs. Choosing fake and inferior lithium battery cells can easily cause rechargeable batteries to catch fire or explode.
