What are the advantages of forklift lithium batteries over lead-acid batteries?

Lithium battery electric forklifts and lead-acid battery electric forklifts have many advantages due to their large capacity. Lithium battery electric forklifts are generally more expensive, while lead-acid battery electric forklifts are known to be more expensive than lithium batteries. What are the advantages of lithium-ion batteries for forklifts compared to lead-acid batteries?

Advantages of lithium batteries for electric forklifts:


1. Faster battery charging
Thanks to its organic chemical properties, the charging rate of lithium-ion batteries is 2 hours, ranging from 10% to 100%.

The lead charging time for lead-acid batteries must be 8-10 hours from 20% to 100%.


2. No memory battery charging
Due to the non memory nature of lithium batteries in electric forklifts, rechargeable batteries can be charged freely without compromising their lifespan.
Users can use their work and rest days to make up for electricity consumption.
Facilitate user participation in their work.
Lead acid batteries have battery charging memory, and if any or intermittent battery charging is carried out, it can cause more serious harm to the battery and reduce the number of battery cycles.
The actual operation of lead-acid battery charging and discharging is as follows: 20% -100% charging and discharging, balancing battery charging and discharging on time.
User integration work is not convenient.
During the entire charging process of the battery, lithium energy is less damaged, and regardless of how much lithium energy is left, the rated power is maintained.

3. Long lifespan
The average cycle of lead-acid batteries is 1200 cycles (approximately 6000 hours of working time), while the cycle of lithium phosphate batteries is 4000 cycles (approximately 24000 hours of working time).

In specific applications, the 4000 times capacity of lithium phosphate batteries is still greater than 65%, while the 1200 times capacity of lead-acid batteries is less than 50%.


4. Wide discharge temperature range
Lithium exhibits excellent charging and discharging performance at temperatures ranging from -20 to 60 degrees Celsius or extremely low,

At -20 degrees, ion batteries have a charging and discharging efficiency of 80% -90%, while lead-acid batteries have a charging and discharging efficiency of less than 30%.
