Steps and methods for measuring the capacity of 26650 lithium batteries.
Many people want to know how to measure the capacity of 26650 lithium batteries. Without a problem, let's take a detailed look below. How to know the accurate capacity of lithium batteries? Usually, there is a certain deviation between the nominal capacity and the actual capacity of manufacturers. Let's see how to measure more accurately.
26650 lithium battery capacity
1、
26650 lithium battery capacity measurement method steps
One is a simple method of constant resistance discharge. You must use a multimeter and a high-power resistor to fully charge, and then you can charge while sitting on the phone, such as on a mobile phone. Fully charge the battery and connect it to this resistor, usually a 10 ohm 5W cement resistor. When the discharge voltage is below 2.75V, the total discharge time can be obtained as 0.37A * time. This method is relatively simple, but there is some error.
Conventional method: First, charge the battery capacity detector to 4.20V, then let it sit for 1 hour for constant current discharge. The arbitration method is 0.2 times the capacity of 1000mAh, and then discharge it at a constant current of 200mA until it reaches 2.75V. Calculate the time * constant current=battery capacity. If it is a nickel hydrogen battery, the charging method only needs to be non constant voltage charging, and the discharging method should be a dedicated device up to 1.0V per cell voltage.
Part 2: Methods and Steps for Measuring the Capacity of
26650 Lithium Batteries
The first method:
Having a professional battery compartment.
Find an adjustable load resistance and a DC power supply with adjustable current to calculate the capacity of the battery during charging and discharging time.
Charger current x charging time=battery capacity (from 2.7V or 3.0V to 4.2V)
Or.
Discharge current x discharge time=battery capacity (from 4.2V to 2.7V or 3.0V)
Step 2:
Firstly, fully charge the battery to its rated voltage, typically 4.2V.
Step 2, discharge the battery to its rated voltage and record the amount of electricity discharged. The voltage is usually 3.0V.
Step three, charge the battery to its normal capacity, usually set between 3.8V-4.0V.
The capacity recorded in step 2 is the capacity of the battery.
Step 3:
The function of the integral power meter can measure the required
lithium battery capacity of the device. I usually use the PA310 Zhiyuan power meter to measure the lithium battery capacity, and after measuring the capacity, I choose a battery with a larger specific capacity to use on the device.
