How to improve the safety of polymer lithium batteries?

With the advancement of technology and the use of electronic devices, the safety requirements of polymer lithium batteries have become higher. So how can we improve the safety of polymer lithium batteries?
1. The opening pressure and sensitivity of the safety valve are important factors affecting the safety of lithium batteries, which can to some extent reduce explosion injuries.
2. Adding polymer monomer molecules to the electrolyte, when the charging voltage exceeds the limit, the electrode surface polymerizes into a film, and the electrochemical oxidation polymerization reaction seals the electrode surface, blocking the battery reaction and preventing unsafe behavior.
3. Diaphragm PP/PE/PP is superior to PE and PP; When the temperature of the lithium battery increases, the PE micropores in the middle layer of the separator first close, blocking the flow of current and playing a safety role.
4. Structural design refers to the safety isolation measures inside the battery, including positive and negative electrodes, membrane width, fixed limit plates, bonding of negative electrode plates at both ends, core bonding, etc.
So what happens when polymer lithium batteries fail?
1. Short circuit: After the battery is fully charged, short circuit the positive and negative electrodes, and the wire resistance is less than 50mQ. Test result: The battery does not ignite or explode after a short circuit.
2. Overcharging: When the battery is overcharged under the conditions of a 3C multiplier and 5V voltage, it will not explode or catch fire.
3. Thermal shock: After the lithium battery is fully charged, it is heated to 150 ℃ in a constant temperature box at a rate of 5 ℃/min and stored for 30 minutes. The test result shows that the shell expands and heats up, but the battery does not catch fire or explode.

4. Free fall: Drop twice from the six surfaces X, Y, and Z at a height of 1000mm each. After the drop, the battery voltage, internal resistance, and capacity are normal, and there are no defects such as heating or bubbling.
