How to extend the service life of lithium batteries for electric golf carts?

The service life of an electric golf cart is closely related to the usage of the battery, provided that the vehicle structure is intact. Normally, batteries can be used for about 2 years if used normally. If lithium batteries are used as the driving force, the service life of 5-8 years is completely no problem. Compared to battery powered golf carts, the price of lithium batteries is much higher.

1. Avoid storing golf carts with low power. In a low power state, the golf cart battery is prone to sulfation, causing insufficient charging and a decrease in battery capacity. When idle, the golf cart should be started and charged once a month to extend the battery life.

2. When the ammeter pointer shows insufficient battery, it should be charged in a timely manner and over discharge is prohibited.

3. When charging a golf cart, use a dedicated charger and place it in a cool and ventilated place to avoid high temperatures and humidity.

4. Do not discharge with high current to prevent lead sulfate crystallization and damage to the physical properties of the battery plate.

5. The golf cart battery should be regularly replenished with water to prevent water shortage from affecting its use. Distilled water or specialized lead-acid battery compensation solution should be added.
