26650 lithium batteries are widely used in laptops due to their large unit density capacity and long energy storage life.  Among them, the production of polarizer is the foundation, the production of battery cells is the core, and assembly is directly related to the quality of battery products.


1. Preparation of electrode slurry

Positive electrode: Mix polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP), then add positive electrode active material and carbon black, stir and disperse to form a slurry. Negative electrode: Mix latex and water in proportion, then add CMS, stir and disperse to form a slurry.

2. Coating: Apply the prepared slurry uniformly and uniformly onto a current collector (such as aluminum foil or copper foil) with a specified thickness, and dry the solvent.


3. Pole cutting: Cut the coated positive electrode into large pieces of a certain length (depending on the specific battery design), with a cutting speed of 55mm/min and a requirement for no burrs on the cut.


4. Stacking: Assemble the positive and negative electrode pieces and the diaphragm together, and after the adhesive is applied, form the electrode core.


5. Assembly of soft pack battery: Install the electrode core produced in the previous step into the aluminum-plastic film that has already been punched, and complete the top seal, side seal, etc. (leaving a hole for liquid injection) to form an unfilled soft pack battery.


6. Baking: Bake for 12 hours under constant temperature and vacuum degree of -0.09MPa, mainly to dry the moisture of the battery cells.


7. Inject liquid

Inject electrolyte into a glove box filled with Ar gas after vacuum baking. The amount of electrolyte injected varies according to the battery design, and the battery should be weighed before and after injection. The weight difference is the amount of electrolyte injected to determine whether the amount of electrolyte is appropriate.


8. Battery sealing: Extracting and sealing the gas inside the battery cell in a vacuum environment.
